Republic Tavern and Parks & Rec diner have enjoyed serving the Detroit community for the past 5 years. And as the world stands strong against COVID-19, our immediate concern is the health and safety of our staff and the entire community.
But like other small businesses during this crisis, we are also concerned about providing financial support for our staff. We consider ourselves a family, and as a family we try to provide care and support in any way possible. Our hourly team members rely heavily on restaurant traffic to earn their living and are already feeling the effects of the downturn. Our goal is to make it through this difficult time so that we can continue to provide jobs to our amazing team. We are doing what we can to provide work opportunities for our team members, but the financial burden is becoming too much for us to bear on our own. We are looking beyond the restaurants for some help from the community.
So we are reaching out to the incredible people who have joined us at our table over the past 5 years for a little support. If you’ve stopped into Parks & Rec for brunch, or joined us in Republic for dinner (or our favorite, both) and enjoyed our hospitality, please consider donating to our fund.
Even a small contribution will be the same as you dining in with us once during this difficult time. Your generosity will help us protect the livelihood of our team members, who are the most vulnerable during this downturn. 100% will go to our staff as we wait to see what the future holds. Immediate help will be extremely beneficial to our staff’s ability to provide for themselves and their families.
