RESCUE AMBULANCE UKRAINE
Donation protected
My name is Daniel. I am a licensed EMT in Michigan, and until March of this year I was working happily in Detroit. Then came an announcement from the President of Ukraine, asking for all internationals who love and cherish freedom to come and help the suffering people of Ukraine, who did absolutely nothing to bring on the evil, death and destruction which was launched upon them by their hateful neighbors to the east. As a veteran, I saw this as an opportunity to contribute to the legacy of Americans serving in europe to ensure that freedom and liberty triumph over tyrannical evil in the spirit of our greatest generation who prevailed over a similarly maniacal regime some 70 years ago.
I immediately sought a way to travel to Ukraine and offer my services as a veteran and emergency medical technician. I arrived in Kyiv in April, and quickly found a position with a volunteer organization known as the Hospitallers Medical Battalion. We are a 100% volunteer medical organization, comprised of Ukrainian citizens as well as international volunteers from all over the world. I am one of a few Americans currently working with the Hospitallers.
We operate in ambulances in teams of four. Four of us use a 4wd vehicle to go directly to the front lines and extract the wounded from the field. We then transport the patients very quickly to a more traditional ambulance staffed by another team of four staged in safer area nearby. That Hospitaller crew then treats and transports the patient(s) to a treatment facility for more comprehensive medical treatment.
I am just one of many Hospitallers who love to do all that we can to help these very brave but unfortunate citizens of Ukraine. We don't get paid for our contribution, but we get shown love and appreciation that means so much more than a paycheck ever could. We are all very happy to be here, but we just can't do it alone. We, and my team in particular, need you your help.
I am humbly asking for your help to purchase a used Jeep to be shipped to Ukraine. My team needs a capable vehicle to make extractions over rough terrain, as the conditions will only get more challenging as the seasons progress. We have to traverse open fields and woods, bombed out roadways, and ruined cities in order to extract the wounded who would have no other means to get help. And we have to outfit the vehicle with structure, equipment, and supplies to function as an ambulance.
If you can see it in your heart to contribute to this cause, many people here will be eternally grateful to you. I promise personally to do everything I can to make your donation as effective as possible in saving Ukrainian lives. We can all work together to ensure that freedom, liberty, and peace are restored for all Ukraine.
