Rescue in crisis, Wirral Animal Samaritans
Donation protected
Hi I am setting up this gofundme to try and get our vet bill down. We are an independent rescue who deal with wildlife and domestic creatures many need medical intervention in one way or another.
Sadly we are at crisis point again with our vet bill being at 5k again, we need our vet team as they are amazing with all our creatures be it wildlife or domestics. Some of what we send have no hope of survival so have to inform to please let them go with dignity and some of what we see is heartbreaking and devastating.
We all are volunteers who run Wirral Animal Samaritans and am extremely thankful to the rehab team and to the foster team as they always will take up a challenge, but what we do does also cost a lot as we don't have much in the way of funds. I often pay for a lot of things fosters need from my own pocket which I haven't said before also this year I have paid for over 20 rabbit's to neutered, sadly we have had to stop taking rabbit due to this as costs a lot to neuter them and I cannot keep up with the costs (currently cheapest found is £75 male and £96 for females though couple were done at £120-140 mark).
I don't claim back any of this and also pay the odd 100 or so off the main vet bill also when I can.
Nearly the cats and dogs we have had in over the past year have needed neutering, vaccs, microchip, flea and worm treatment and that's not included the many we have took in with medical conditions and ongoing vet bills for those in forever foster. But daily we/I am tagged and messaged daily of more in bad ways or are urgent.
So please help us get our vet bill down to a reasonable amount especially with spring heading in as we know we will be absolutely slammed again with local vets and other rescues directing people to us especially were wildlife is concerned.
As well as all this we also have scanner teams who help with found cats and dogs including deceased.
Our PayPal is [email redacted]
Or can contact the vets directly Medivet Heswall, Daryl Road, Heswall,Wirral.
