Rescue kennels for street dogs and strays

Hi my names Jackie and I am an animal lover who has only ever had rescued pets.

After adopting dogs(11) and cats(20) I realized just how scared, frightened and traumatized these poor animals are so I started to foster dogs(10)and provide them a safe loving care temporary home, it made me realize these animals need a special place to call home while they distress and learn what a loving human can provide for them.

I have been working with a rescue for 3 years who save dogs in Bosnia and find adoption homes for them in the uk and with the political issues the animals face a life or death issue there.

Then we have turkey who are killing animals(mainly dogs) that are perfectly healthy and stray or street animals. It is a awful situation all over the world for animals who are at risk of euthanasia.

so I was thinking of ways I could help the situation so decided to build kennels on my 3 acre property as I have a barn that is suitable to be converted into kennels and another barn I could convert for any other animals that need help…. I would also look at helping animals in the uk due to the fact rescues that already exist are at breaking point. I would hate to think we might become a country that looks at euthanizing healthy animals because they have nowhere to go.

We are now registered with the small charity constitution as a non profit rescue so we are making sure we have all the legal documents to become a registered charity once CEDAR LODGE ANIMAL RESCUE is up and running.
