Ghaben family reunite in Egypt: help rebuild their life

Nizar, Tamam, Amal, Abdul Haq and Mohammed.

All trapped in Rafah, Gaza.

With a ground offensive in Rafah imminent, it is URGENT that we raise money to get them out of Gaza.

What will the money be used for?

In order to leave Gaza, a payment has to made to an affiliate of the Egyptian government. This payment gets a person's name on an evacuation list at the Rafah crossing. This is the only way out and costs between £5,000 - £6,000.

The family.

This Ghaben's have suffered incredible loss in the past few months. Over 20 members of their family have been killed in brutal and inhumane ways. More than this, their family home has been destroyed in airstrikes, meaning they have been internally displaced multiple times. Through all this, they have still been trying to support fellow Palestinians through a project called Reviving Gaza.

The eldest sons of the family are resilient, warm hearted and generous men. Living the UK, they are desperate to ensure their family are brought to safety. Ghassan is a Palestinian activist in Manchester and speaks boldly for the rights of the people of his beloved home country.

Evacuation to Egypt

We are over the moon to share that the Ghaben family successfully crossed the border to Egypt after being displaced multiple times and 6 months of constant bombardment, death & destruction. Not only are they now safe but they have reunited with Ghassan and Ramadan after 10 years. We couldn't be happier for them. There are really no words to describe this moment. We want to thank you from the bottom of our hearts for helping to making this happen. We believed that humanity was still alive and together we made it possible for the Ghaben family to reunite in safety. Through all of this, not a single member of the Ghaben family lost hope. They continued fighting till the end and everyone around them has been inspired by their resilience & strength.
