RESCUE Mohammed Numan From Death In Gaza

My name is Muhammed Zahid from the UK and I am raising funds on behalf of my beloved family friend, Mohammed Numan Mahdi. Mohammed is a pleasant and academically bright student whose dreams were crashed due to the war in Gaza. Due to this war, Mohammed has been through severe traumatic situations and even fell extremely unwell due to the conditions at the overcrowded tent he lives at. He also is struggling as he lacks the basic essentials to survive.

This fundraiser will support him in basic essential survival such as food, water, medicine for him and his family but will also cover his evacuation costs to Egypt and the basics of rent and survival as it would be a new country he would first need to settle into, before flying off to Algeria in sha Allah to complete his studies. He has a deadline to meet which is September in order to evacuate Gaza and start his scholarship in Human Medicine, which was given to him by a university in Algeria. However unfortunately due to the devastation in Gaza and because there is no airport there, his only route is to evacuate to Egypt and then take a flight to Algeria to start his scholarship. It would be a very sad loss of great talent if he were not able to reach there in time.

However, if unfortunately the target for his evacuation is not reached, then these funds would be used to support Mohammed in Gaza or if he decides to choose a different pathway to evacuate elsewhere in the future.

The evacuation costs are estimated to be around $6,000 per adult to cross the Rafah border to Egypt. This is estimated to be around £4,822 (UK pounds). There are some debit fees also and other costs would go towards essential survival items and initial rent if he does get to Egypt in sha Allah.

Please also bear in mind, basic food prices have sky rocketed sometimes double, triple and certain foods even x 10 the original amount.

If God forbid this was your own biological child, would you not want the world to help them? Imagine how many patients he can benefit once he completes his studies in human medicine in sha Allah. This will be sadqah jariyah for every person that contributes to this fundraiser in sha Allah.

This is Mohammed's story in his own words..

'Hello, I am Mohammed Numan Mahdi, a 1st year Human Medicine student at Al Azhar university in Gaza which has now unfortunately been destroyed due to the war. I write the words whilst tears are pouring down because of what has happened to us.

Before October 7th, my life was beautiful and simple. I was excited about beginning the first year of my university and I was full of ambition. I dreamed of becoming a great doctor, a lover of goodness and to be like one of the angels of mercy in helping humanity. My ambitions were to enter the medical field to help people and save lives.

Despite our limited and average financial situation, I still aspired to complete my educational career, despite the high costs of university...

...Then the war came in last year October 2023. During just the 1st day of the war in Gaza our home got completely destroyed, while we were in it. Thank God, He allowed us to survive that. We were extracted from under the rubble, with severe injuries to my family and I. As a result, we were transferred to Ash Shifa medical complex. However after days of treatment, the situation worsened at Ash-Shifa hospital due to the continuous ongoing bombing around the hospital.

We were then forced to move to the south of the Gaza strip (Rafah). We sat in a tent that did not protect us from the cold or from bombing. Then after more than 167 days of war and genocide, we are still in these difficult situations of food shortages and lack of suitable water for drinking. It is much easier for those who have money, as they can afford to buy this.

Despite all this, my ambition to complete my educational career is still flourishing and because of the complete destruction of Gaza's universities and the whole area, I have unfortunately become unfit to complete my education within Gaza.

Although it has been very difficult for me to seek help as I'm always self sufficient, I have no choice now but to seek the assistance from all the compassionate souls from this world. My request is to help me evacuate so I can make something of myself to help others in sha Allah. If this plan is not achievable within a few months (as there is a deadline to enter Algeria university) then my 2nd option is to either go to Egypt for study, evacuate elsewhere or use these funds to help my family survive and re-build our house when the situation is more stable. Also our home may look like a pile of stones to the word but our memories are engraved within it since our childhood. I also have future hopes to re-build this. Once the funds are reached it can take around a month before being transferred to Egypt. I need to try and get there before September in sha Allah as I need a little time to settle into Egypt before flying off to Algeria in sha Allah. The deadline to enter Algeria university is September.
