The reason I am raising money is to cover my medical expenses due to a fall, head injury and trip to the Emergency Room. The doctors did some tests and fortunately, I didn't have a heart attack. Based on some of those tests and an increase in patients with similar symptoms, the doctor believes I have P.O.T.S. (Postural Orthostatic Tachycardia Syndrome (POTS). I plan to make a future video on POTS.

I had fainted several times before and was truly clueless as to what was going on! The big problem with fainting is that I usually hit my head on something when I fall down. This time just happened to be an especially bad head whack and I was in public while walking Bella. Very embarrassing!

After doing some research online, my symptoms are a perfect match with POTS! So far there isn't any medication or treatment. Only the dreaded "Lifestyle Changes". Fortunately, I have had some luck with that and am fainting less often. I have also lost over 50 pounds and am under 200 lb. for the first time since high school.

My goal is to cover the medical expenses from my visit to the emergency room. The problem is that the ER requires payment right away. This put a massive dent in my “nest egg” and am at high risk of not being to cover any of my upcoming bills (like rent etc.)

P.O.T.S. is something I had never heard of before. The ER doc said it is becoming a far more common diagnosis in people with long Covid! She said that the diagnosis has surged in recent months and the “common thread” seems to be long Covid.

Honestly, I cannot say I have ever had Covid though. I was sick several months ago and by the time I was tested, it came back negative.

On a positive note, I am enjoying teaching English very much! It feels like a performance and reminds me of my old "DJ Steve" days back at Studebakers.

My goal is to try and turn a negative into a positive, so I plan to continue making videos following my GoFundMe effort and have some fun!

Basically, I'm going to make an ASS out of myself for your enjoyment!

It truly sucks that this had to happen to FINALLY start taking care of myself, but better late than never. I even have an idea for my P.O.T.S awareness T-Shirt “Smoke P.O.T.S!“ (In homage to my best friend Brett Booge). He is an Angel now and is still looking out for his old buddy!
