EDIT 1: So it turns out that everything is a tad more pricey than planned. We want to do this properly so have raised the goal to £2500 so we can get everything we need. Whether it be a full Garrador costume or a rubber bass!

Hello everyone!

In 2005 we released a parody of the video game Resident Evil 4 which has become quite popular in the Resident Evil community.

Filmed in our childhood village and homes, we had a super low budget... and it shows, but that's part of the charm eh?

We also had a lot of free time back in the day which meant filming a 40 minute video wasn't a problem. Now we've all grown up and have lives and jobs it's harder to get together.

But we want to bring you more Resident Evil 4!

We plan to film shorter videos instead, spoofing specific mechanics and scenes from the new remake. It won't be in any particular order so one video could be the car ride at the beginning and the next could be a scene with Leon and Salazar.

We feel like this is the best way to get the videos out as quickly as possible.

We know a lot of you may be against it, but we also plan to make use of green screen for a lot of it, so we can make it look 100% like the game and not us running around a modern house. We've been getting to grips with it in our latest videos, namely Bug Busters Resurrection and Mortal Kombat. With shorter videos, we can spend longer editing to make sure it looks really good and we blend in with the backgrounds.

If you haven't seen the videos mentioned above, well you're in for a treat because here they are...

Green Screen will allow us to film with ease, as well as get shots exactly like the game. It also gives us the ability to meet up and film after work without worrying about how light it is outside or travelling to different areas for different scenes. It'll also allow us to alter character heights for comedic effect (Salazar and Mendez). I'm sure there are a few of you who think it'll suck out all the charm, but we honestly believe we can do it.

Keep in mind we are NOT professional filmmakers so you should probably expect some jank (Just being honest!)

The main reason we are setting up this gofundme is for costumes, props and paying for After Effects. We've seen a few costumes online but they are pricey.

Above is a selection, but there's still Krauser, Mendez, the Merchant and all the Ganado's too. Not to mention guns, wigs, a knife that can block a chainsaw and various other items as well.

In total the main costumes alone will be about £900, without shipping, weapons and wigs. £1500 may seem like a lot but we feel it is just the right amount to buy the costumes along with realistic weapons and wigs. Also to pay for after effects which is £30 a month (!) so we can edit everything.

So to summarise, the goal is to focus on shorter videos that we will try and release as often as possible. Videos where we can meet up for a night and film the entire thing and get it out to you within a reasonable time and then focus on the next one. It'll mean more Resident Evil for you guys because it's something we can continue to do until we run out of ideas. Then maybe we'll move on to another Resident Evil.
