Rest Easy Madrina (AKA silvia)

Madrina (AKA Silvia) is my Godmother/Aunt.  She helped raise me as a child.  She was always an amazing human being who helped anyone in need, whether it be financially or emotionally.   She was always there for me growing up.  She lived in New Jersey since she was about 20 years old, but not even the distance kept her away from every big event in my life... she was there for my 15th, for my wedding, for my 1st divorce, got me my first car, started my college journey and so much more.  She has always been my rock, my go-to person.... when I was a child I used to tell her that when she got old, I would care for her as she never had any children of her own.  She always said, "yeah ok.. we will see", as if she didn't believe me....so on July 20, 2018, I was told that she was not doing well and was diagnosed with rapid onset alzeihmers and cancer.  My husband and I immediately flew to New Jersey to pick her up and bring her to our house so we can care for her.  She always voiced how she never wanted to be put in a nursing home.  She always dreamed of passing in peace, being surrounded by her family.  I wanted to give her that last wish.  She is now declining daily, and her organs are shutting down.  We will soon be saying goodbye to one of the strongest women I've ever known.  She is still with us,  but declining fast... so soon she will be in Heaven and forever in our hearts!
