It is with a heavy heart that we share the passing of our friend Jermaine Garrett on 2/8/23. I decided to create a Go fund me because I know this amazing family, and I know Jermaine did everything he could to provide for them. But given his health condition, there was only so much he could do, and he was constantly denied life insurance. As you read about his life, please consider donating, sharing, and praying for his wife, and his three children.
Elder Jermaine Garrett was a devoted Husband, Father, Son and FRIEND. He lived his life ensuring that any person that was in his presence felt the love of Christ. Elder Jermaine devoted his life to being a servant in any assignment he was given. No matter what stage of life he was in; Armor Bearer, Assistant Pastor, or his favorite just a help to the man God gave him or where he served, he made sure to do it with a can-do attitude and with understanding and love. On January 21st, Jermaine and Myeshia decided that he should go in for what seemed to be help with complications of Congestive heart failure. If you have followed Jermaine for any length of time, you know that sometimes he was hospitalized for a few days, would get help and return home. Unfortunately after 7 days of being in the hospital, we realized this was not our reality. Jermaine and Myeshia were made aware that his Heart, Kidney, and Liver were failing and we would move into Dialysis to attempt and help his Kidneys. As the days progressed, as a family we watched as Elder Jermaine, would sleep for long periods of the day or decline his meal. It was evident to many who caught him while he was awake that he was saying his goodbyes. With much support we have prayed and asked God for a miracle as we want Elder Garrett here with us. God is so gracious in granting us the desires of our heart to make him whole but it didn't happen on this side. Jermaine recently realized that his health was declining and started a family business to aid in bringing in additional revenue to support his family. As you can imagine with a health diagnosis such as Congestive Heart Failure, getting insurance was not an option. Though he and his wife tried over 20 different brokers and institutes, there was no available help.
As a family, we are asking for your help to lay down our Loved one. Any donation and every donation will go towards the Services, Burial and to help with his 3 children.
