Rest in Heaven Isaac Reed

My younger cousin Johnny (as the family called him), tragically lost his life to gun violence on Thursday, 06/08/17. Although he was 25 years of age, and grew to become physically larger than myself, he was always my baby cousin to me. We grew up together, and I will always remember us staying up all night during every Christmas to play with our new toys - even though we were supposed to be sleeping. He always looked up to me, and that made me feel important and cared for. What I never had the chance to tell him was how much I looked up to him. He stepped up to and beyond the plate when it came time to take responsibility. He was the father of two beautiful children, Damien (2 years) and Milani (5 months), to whom he dedicated his life to. He did everything in his power to ensure the well-being of his family - all the way up to his final moments. He was a good man. A loyal friend. A caring partner. A devoted father. A loving son.

Our hearts are broken, but I know they will mend with time and the thought that you are watching over us. No longer worried. No longer suffering. Only joy as you wait for us at the gates of Heaven. We love you Johnny. We always have and always will. You will be forever in our hearts cuz. Always. 

Our family asks for any support from our friends and the community during this difficult time to help ensure a proper burial for our beloved family member, whom the world lost too soon.
