For those who don't know me, I am Samantha and for the last 10 years, I have been honored to be one of Sylvia's best-friends. I am helping the Mervis and Schneider family with this GoFundMe with permission and approval of Sylvia's immediate family members.

Our beloved Sylvia Mervis-Schneider tragically passed away on August 19, 2020.

Sylvia was a wonderful wife, mother, sister, daughter, niece and friend who touched the lives of everyone around her. Sylvia leaves behind many people in her life including her brothers Joe and Abe, Uncle Ron and Aunt Annie, mother in law Peggy, husband Ryan, 5 year old son Jack and newborn daughter, Ava.

Sylvia was a dedicated nurse with the VA Hospital in West Palm Beach, Florida. She always committed herself to take care of others before taking care of herself.

From the mountains in Utah to the South Florida coastline, Sylvia loved Zumba, dancing, holiday events with the family, social dinners and brunches, going to the pool, going on vacations, and just spending quality time with her family at home. Words can't describe how much she loved her children, and even though she wasn't with Ava for very long, she was still the best mom she could be for her!

We are all devastated by Sylvia's unexpected passing, so in honor of Sylvia's memory, I am currently asking for donations to help her husband, Ryan with Jack and Ava.

The total amount raised will be split between both Jack and Ava. With respect to Jack, we will be taking his portion and paying his childcare/school tuition for as long as we can. Jack is beginning kindergarten this year and due to Covid19, Jack has to attend via video conference for online classes. His childcare/school is assisting Jack with these classes for approximately $900.00 a month. With respect to Ava, we will be purchasing formula, diapers, wipes and supplies that Ryan would need. We as family and friends will be stepping in for Sylvia to take some of the burden off Ryan.

Sylvia was a hardworking, loyal, loving, caring, strong and feisty woman who loved her family and friends very much! She loved to laugh and always carried the biggest and brightest smile. She is now reunited and flying high above the sky with her mom, dad and grandparents. We can all find peace knowing this and knowing she is looking down at us with a grateful heart to help her dear family.

Sylvia is going to be one of the most beautiful angels in the sky. We are all very lucky to share memories with such a sweet and genuine person.
