Rest in Peace our beloved Florencia Ramirez

It is with great sadness that we announce the tragic passing of Florencia Ramirez. On March 22, 2023 seven year-old Edgar and three year old Miguel asked their mother for an afternoon stroll at the beach. Details of the tragedy are unknown at this time, however we do know that a good Samaritan saw three year-old Miguel alone at the beach, when he was asked where his mother was. Miguel responded that his mother and brother “went swimming. ” Local authorities were called and they found Florencia’s body Wednesday afternoon at around 8 PM. Seven-year-old Edgar is still missing.

 We are mourning the loss of Florencia. We would like to offer our support to Florencia’s family by creating this GoFundMe page to help with the funeral expenses.

 We know that funerals can be expensive, and we hope that this page can help ease the burden on the family during this difficult time. We are asking for any donation, no matter how small, to help transfer Florencia’s body to her country of birth, Oaxaca, Mexico. Our local communities and Florencia’s family have been greatly affected by the recent floods and resources are scarce. Any donation will be greatly appreciated. All funds raised through this page will go directly to Florencia’s family to assist them with the costs of the funeral and other related expenses.
