CANCER KILLS....
Not only does it take so many lives but it can kill those who are still living. Kills your hope, your plans for a future, your bank account, your views on life and self worth.
My heart is so so heartbroken for my dear lifelong best friend and the constant HELL such a beautiful soul has had to fight through and sadly when you think the fight is almost done it ends up way worse than you could ever imagine
First diagnosed January 16, 2017 breast cancer after results from lumpectomy found out there was lymph node involvement and has spread to the clavicle as well.
Lymph node involvement meant removing them and causing lymphedema which is very painful and makes lifting almost impossible.
Amy went through chemotherapy, radiation, hair loss, weight loss, chemo infused neuropathy, blood clots, several hospitalizations due to infection. In December 2018 told cancer was in remission.
June of 2020 after finding a golf ball sized tumor in my neck and undergoing surgery and biopsy of tumor was diagnosed with a reoccurrence. Stage 4 metastic breast cancer spread to clavicle as well as lungs.
Amy Returned to Ny (lives in NC) to Roswell park for a second opinion. Drs there agreed with oncologist and radiation drs in NC and returned to start oral chemo.
Amy just recently found out copay for her chemo drugs has gone up, to the point of not being able to afford it. At this point drs are saying treatment will be years long.
The only thing keeping her alive has become to much to afford. Amy was trying to do Mary Kay on the side to make it happen but going from $450 a month for her chemo to 1,176 it has become impossible to continue her meds which we understand by now the outcome of that and onto of all of this, Amy's oldest Son who is just starting college was told he is in stage 3 kidney disease, needs a transplant and needs to do dialisis!!!!
That's even more money going out that they do not have!!!
Stuck in the position of trying to keep their restaurant open during this pandemic and making just over the amount to get help from anywhere, Amy is litterly holding onto strings at this point and breaks my heart seeing her in such a helpless situation leaving her hopeless.
For the sake of Amy, her husband and her Two sons I BEG YOU to find it in your heart to help save my friend.
Even if God says his will be done at least Amy can see that LOVE AND COMPASSION do still live and pray this gives her some peace not having to worry about losing everything ontop of her life while watching her boy struggle himself.
It is to much and she NEEDS our help!!!!
It has taken me years to get her to agree to this. Amy and her husband have worked hard for all thy have and all they fear will be no more .
Anything at all will be better than nothing.
PLEASE find it in your hearts to help Amy and her family
