Restoration of the Callicoon Depot, Callicoon, NY

The Callicoon Depot is a historic gem nestled in the heart of Callicoon, NY. The building has a rich history, having once served as a bustling train station for passengers and freight throughout the Catskills. Being underutilized for several decades since its last passenger train departure in 1966, the Depot has been reimagined as a new kind of space, reclaiming its position at the center of our community. Callicoon Depot, Inc. is a key part of this redevelopment effort. In partnership with the Callicoon Business Association and the Upper Delaware Scenic Byway Association, we are charged with securing donations such as yours, grant funding and implementing project plans.

In the spirit of our location, in “the center of town”, our goal and focus is making The Callicoon Depot a “centering” information resource and activity space for the community and region where locals and visitors alike can gather, learn, and commune. There's much to do before the building itself is available for public use and your generous (tax-deductible) donation of any amount would greatly benefit our vision and goals.
