Restore Amariyah's Lawncare: Donate for a New Truck

My name is Amariyah Israel and I own our Family Father and Son Lawncare business called Amariyah's Illustrious Lawncare based out of Seguin, TX. You may have seen our work truck around, for we service yards in New Braunfels, San Marcos, Schertz, Cibolo, McQueeney, and Seguin.

On Wednesday, October 15, 2024, following a long day of servicing customer yards in Seguin and McQueeney, our work truck began to smoke. So, I pulled over to check under the hood and noticed some smoke but could not determine where it was coming from. A person did pull over and asked if I needed help, and I'm glad he did! For he mentioned my truck was on fire, and I did not believe him, for I did not see any fire. He said to open the back door, and when we did, BAM! There was fire under the back seat!! So he said, "GET AWAY FROM THE TRUCK!!!!!!!" I quickly ran to the back of my trailer to get my mowers off of the trailer and any other equipment I could get, for the fire was spreading fast, and I was afraid the truck was going to blow up.

I am thankful to God that my son and I are okay and did not have any major injuries. We did lose valuable items in the truck fire, including my wallet and my son's wallet. This has caused a setback in our business, for now, we are without a work truck to haul our equipment trailer. Yes, we have insurance, but the agent said that due to the high mileage on the truck, we may not get the full amount, but let's hope for the best. So that is why we are seeking assistance in the form of donations to help us obtain another work truck so we can get back on the road to return to providing our lawn services to our customers.
