Restore and Protect Elmhurst Little League Park
Donation protected
Elmhurst Little League has been in the Waynedale Community since 1954, providing the youth in the area with the resources to play baseball. We’ve been excited about progress for our park and have begun cleaning and updating our fields, painting, fencing, etc., the past few months in preparation for the 2025 season to provide a better space for the youth we currently serve.
Unfortunately, in the afternoon of 11/12/24, a group of people made their way into our concession stand and vandalized our bathrooms. Our sinks were torn off the walls and broken to pieces. Unfortunately, this isn’t a new occurrence for our park. There have been countless cases of vandalism over the years that we continue to clean up from. In August, we had our cameras stolen from our buildings. In past years, we’ve had our buildings spray-painted, etc. In 2022, we also had our box full of extra equipment stolen from our park.
We now not only need to repair the damage caused on 11/12/24, but we also want to invest in better security for our park to better mitigate future instances of vandalism/theft. We know we will overcome this and move forward, but it’s with the help of the community around us that makes this all possible. Any donations will go to repairing damages and security upgrades. We greatly appreciate anyone that can help even a little.
