Help My Wife Dana Smile with Confidence Again

Hi, my name is Eli, and I’m here asking for help for my incredible wife, Dana. They were born with a rare condition called hyperdontia, which means they have extra teeth and their teeth often move over time, causing both physical pain and emotional distress.

As an online influencer, most of you know them as Sinnabunny, Dana’s smile is something that unfortunately attracts a lot of negative comments, with people making hurtful remarks about their teeth. It’s heartbreaking to see how much this has impacted their self-esteem, especially because they have always been so strong and confident. But these insecurities have been weighing on them heavily.

Dana’s dream is to have a full dental restoration surgery, removing all of their teeth and getting “All-On-Four” implant dentures. Unfortunately we just got the tough news that they are not eligible for this procedure and will be going the route of getting conventional dentures instead. Originally this gofundme was requesting 60k for the “All-On-Four” procedure and we are now only funding 20k for conventional dentures for Dana. The surgery would not only relieve their pain but also help restore their confidence. The procedure costs $14,500, plus another $3,000 in anesthesia costs, and then Dana will be out of work for at least two weeks while healing. Unfortunately dental care in the U.S. is considered a luxury, so despite having insurance, it won’t cover the procedure. Dentures are considered “elective” with insurance.

Dana had their consultation for the surgery, they are looking at a full mouth extraction, temporary conventional dentures, which are a temporary set for several months before getting a permanent set which are still conventional removable dentures. This surgery will require general anesthesia and two weeks off of work. Dana also won't be able to eat solid foods for about 4-6 months. Post surgery, we will be doing a meal train to help out.

Dana has been through a lot recently. In addition to losing a partner via a rough break up, they also lost their mom a little over a year ago to cancer. With these life changes, they’re not in the financial position to afford this surgery on their own. We’ve explored financing options, but with interest rates as high as 20%, it’s just not sustainable for us.

That’s why I’m reaching out to their followers, friends, family, and anyone willing to help. If every one of their followers gave just $1.00, we could make this surgery happen.
