Restore Hope for a Family After Fire Disaster
Donation protected
I write this with a very, very heavy heart. Tonight, Friday 1/10/24, a little after 6pm, my girlfriend and I lost EVERY SINGLE THING we have been working our butts off towards building..... The fire engulfed our place soooooo quickly the only things we were able to save were ourselves and our two dogs. Every single item we owned is completely lost without any possible recovery.....
While I lost A LOT from the fire, my girlfriend lost absolutely everything she owned....nothing is salvageable or even worth trying to salvage.....
The devastation we are now facing from this tragedy is almost unfathomable. I keep thinking when am I going to wake up and learn that all of this was just an awful nightmare...and then I'm forced back to the reality that this wasn't a nightmare, it was unfortunately completely real....
My girlfriend didn't even have time to grab her cellphone, her purse with all her cash inside, her computer, or even the keys to her van so it could be moved before it was eventually engulfed in flames too. Every item that she had just got herself to finally start the art business she's been working around the clock to get up and running, i.e. MacBook, printer, desktop computer, drawing tablet, 3 more backup laptops, art supplies, and so much more. Every Christmas present received this year. Generator. Power tools. Pressure washer. 3 dressers she was in the process of refinishing (another business she just recently started), family heirlooms passed down from generations, antiques that have been collected for years, her book collection, some dating back to the 1800s, every item of clothing, shoes, and the list of items lost just goes on and on....
And while yes, everything is material objects that can be replaced, knowing this doesn't change the devastation and heartbreak this situation has caused. So please, before anyone comments any rude things, just be considerate of the fact that my family just lost everything and would never post this asking for any type of help if there were other options for us.
Please keep us in your thoughts and prayers during such a devastating time. Thank you so much in advance for reading all of this and for ANY help, whatsoever.
