Restore Hope for a Hardworking Truck Driver

Donation protected
Before I was even born, my dad has been a truck driver. Throughout my whole life, my dad has been traveling long distances, missing family events, and missing family losses, all just to put food on our table and to keep a roof over our heads.

One of his dreams was to be an owner-operator, and a few years back, he had the funds and decided to go for it and bought himself a used truck. Everything was going well at first until the truck needed repair after repair. It started to become very costly and set him back. Nonetheless, he kept on truckin' and pushing through. It came to the point where he was even driving with no A/C or heat in the truck. He wouldn’t complain, just kept working as hard as he could for his family. Driving in a truck, sweating or freezing from different conditions on the road.

My dad is the type that he’ll never ask for help; he always puts others' needs first. Never asks for anything. All he cares about is his family being well. Recently he was in a car accident and his pickup was considered a total loss, even with the soreness and pain from that he hopped back on the his rig and back to work. Hardworking is an understatement. Unfortunately, in one of his recent hauls, his truck decided to check out on him while out of state in Casper, WY. After paying for a tow and getting it to a shop, it turned out the motor locked up on him. The quote they gave him to repair it was substantial and too much for my father. His other option would be to tow the truck back home to Texas, which is costly all the same, and get a second quote potentially cheaper, but even after that, he’s still unfortunately in the same situation.

After recent repairs already done, my father has been set back quite a bit, falling behind on his bills and barely even able to get by. My father has always been strong and has always taught me to never give up. To see him not knowing what to do and sadly being forced to give up is truthfully one of the hardest things I have had to see and beyond heartbreaking.

I’m here asking for your help, any help at all to help a hardworking man with some relief and ease the weight on his shoulders for once. The amount I set is to help alleviate and help him get back on track with his bills, also to either repair the truck or get him into a new one so he doesn’t have to struggle anymore. My Dad has always been there for me, and has always opened his doors to anyone. It’s time for something to get done for him for a change. Thank yall in advance, anything is much appreciated.
