Restore Hope for Jessica & Luke After Helene's Devastation

Hello angels! My name is Ashley Marie, and together with my friend Ashley Johnson, we are reaching out to support our dear friends Jessica and Luke, who have poured their hearts into serving their community.

Jessica, has dedicated her life to holding space for others and guiding our community breath by breath through the beautiful teachings of yoga. She has been a pillar of support to her students for many years at The Body Electric Yoga Company in St. Petersburg and CAMP in Tampa. Luke a graphic designer and fishing captain, bringing cherished memories and knowledge of our oceans to anyone that steps foot on his charters. Both of them are beams of absolute light who have worked so very hard for the beautiful life they have.

Unfortunately on September 26th, 2024 they were devastated when Hurricane Helene hit. In a matter of hours, despite their best efforts, the floodwaters claimed their home, all their appliances, and furniture. After realizing how much water was flooding their home, they quickly escaped with their Husky, Bear, using their skiff to reach higher ground at a neighbor's house on stilts.

Hurricane Helene destroyed their home and much of their livelihood. Luke’s truck, essential for his work and fishing charters, was lost in the flood—leaving him without the means to continue his business. While Jessica’s car survived on higher ground, it still suffered flood damage. Now, they face the challenge of paying a mortgage on a house they can’t live in while needing to cover the cost of rent elsewhere as they search for temporary housing and navigate repairs that could take months.

To make matters more difficult, their insurance will not cover the materials lost inside their home, making the financial burden even more overwhelming. Every little bit of support will help them rebuild, regain stability, and keep their spirits up during this trying time.

It is our turn to show up for a couple that continually shows up for others. If your life has been impacted in any way, big or small, by Jessica or Luke, I encourage you to donate.
