Restore Hope for Sitka's Mother Post-Hurricane

My name is Sitka, and I am trying to raise money to help my mother who is in need.

Please help me help my mother get back on her feet after Hurricane Milton.

She moved to Clearwater, Florida, a few years ago to be near me and her two grandchildren. She is 71 and lived in a small mobile home, which she bought to have a place of her own as my house is not big enough for her to live in with my husband, me, and my two kids.

She spent all her savings to buy her home and lives on social security, which covers her lot rent and food.

During Hurricane Milton, her roof was completely torn off, her carport and her storage room were completely destroyed. Windows were broken, and various other damages we have yet to fully assess. We were able to save her personal belongings and put them in storage until she can find a new place to live. She will need to either pay for repairs to her 50-year-old mobile home or tear it down and remove it from the property and find a new place.

With her finances as they are, she cannot afford these expenses. From the data we have gathered, she will spend more on repairs than what she paid for the home.

On top of all this, she does not have a vehicle of her own as she has been waiting to receive cataract surgery so she can drive.

My mother has done so much for me and my family; I would love to help her out and alleviate some of the financial burden of this major loss she has experienced.

We will be using the money raised to either repair her home or acquire a new place for her to live.
