Restore Hope for the Al Shaer Family

Donation protected
Hello my name is Augusta Elebash and I am organizing this fundraiser on behalf of my friends, the Al Shaer family. This is a message from Muhammad Al Shaer:

My friends and brothers who love humanity I am Muhammad Al-Shaer from Gaza. I am 23 years old. Like any young man in the world at this age, I am approaching the end of my university studies and the beginning of building my professional life. At this age, I only had 18 hours left (less than a year), and I was going to graduate from university with a very good grade, and I had my own house (which I finished building two months before the war), and I was working in the field I was studying (software engineering). And as they say, at 23, I'm halfway there or more until the time came that ruined all these things, ruined all my dreams, and ruined all these plans.

After October 7 (with the beginning of the genocide in Gaza), our lifestyle changed completely, and I began to live in a nightmare that unfortunately has no end. Unfortunately, I stopped studying and did not complete my university (I did not obtain my degree), and with the power outage and the Internet outage, I stopped working and completely forgot about my field. The biggest disaster that befell us was that my house, my brother’s house, and my family’s house were completely destroyed, and I became without a degree, job, or home (homeless in every sense of the word).
My life went from living in a warm, spacious house, to a small, cold tent that cannot protect you from the summer heat, nor protect you from the winter rains.

Since that fateful day when we lost our home, after that we were displaced more than 5 times, and now we live in difficult tent conditions. I saw the amount of sadness in the faces of my family, especially my mother.

When you lose your home, this is a difficult and sad thing, but when you gradually lose your home, this is a difficult thing to bear. The first time we lost part of the house, and then we lost half of the house. Then the third time they bombed the entire house.

And every time our hearts bleed, we feel sad for every part of this house. You can imagine this feeling as you see your family home and your dream home slowly being destroyed before your eyes, and you can do nothing but pray to God only. The war has been going on for almost a year, and I created a gofundme account, but it was closed unfortunately. I thought of creating the link because I felt responsible towards my family and I am responsible to spend on them and protect them. So I hope you will be understanding and sympathetic and help me protect my family.

After I lost everything I mentioned previously, which is almost everything I own, but I have something very beautiful that cannot be replaced at all, which is my family (my mother, sister, and two brothers). A brother is married and responsible for his family, and a brother is traveling to study. I am the middle son responsible for my mother and sister.

Due to the border being closed currently, funds will be used for the family’s daily necessities. Family members include Muhammad Al-Shaer (23)
Ratiba Al-Shaer (mother)
Maha Al-Shaer (younger sister)
Ahmed Al-Shaer (younger brother)

As I, Augusta, will be collecting funds on the family’s behalf, I will send them their money through wire transfer. I will keep all donors updated on this page and on mine and Muhammad’s instagram accounts.
