Restore Hope for the Creamer Family Post-Hurricane
Donation protected
My name is Kari and I am creating this fundraiser for my dear friends, the Creamers. Last week Hurricane Milton brought about a foot of water into their home in Englewood, FL. This resulted in a complete loss of their children’s belongings, furniture, flooring, drywall, appliances, etc.
Unfortunately, due to a technicality with their insurance company, they were 6 days shy of their new flood insurance policy becoming effective. Therefore all of their repairs will have to be done out of pocket.
Their only income comes from their family-owned business that services restaurants in the area. Unfortunately this means their company has also taken a huge loss, as most of the restaurants they service have been damaged or destroyed by the hurricane as well.
With little-to-no income and no insurance, they are facing quite a challenge in getting their home livable for their family.
I know there are so many families facing this exact situation. Unfortunately FEMA is bombarded with claims and has not gotten back to them, so I am reaching out to the community for help. This is a wonderful family who would give the shirt off their backs to help someone in need. It just so happens that this time around, they are the ones in need.
This goal is just a fraction of what it will cost for them to rebuild. Any amount is extremely helpful and appreciated. If you cannot help, simply sharing their story means so much.
