Church of the Immaculate Heart Restoration
Dear Friends of the Institute of Christ the King Sovereign Priest in Belfast,
After extensive preparation, we are delighted to announce to you the beginning of the restoration of our beloved church.
Rooted in our reverence for the traditional liturgy used in the Institute of Christ the King Sovereign Priest, we will make special efforts to preserve its Gothic style.
We extend our heartfelt gratitude to those who have supported us during this ititial phase. With unwavering faith, we entrust this project to your prayers through the Immaculate Heart of Mary.
This monumental endeavour unfolds in three distinct phases:
The first phase, currently underway is scheduled for completion by Christmas 2023. Comprising of four elements, it involves the meticulous repointing of the front facade, chimney relining, balcony resizing, and the creation of marble steps leading to a new sanctuary.
Estimated Cost: £278,000
The second phase will see the making of a central aisle, in keeping with the rich traditions of Catholic liturgy, allowing our sacred ministers to process through the heart of the church. This phase also includes the installation of a new double door under the balcony.
Estimated costs: £162,000
The third phase will be the new altar and communion rail, crowned by a magnificent tabernacle from Rome. Estimated costs: £60,000
