Restore Jeb's Restaurant after Devastating Flood!
Donation protected
Hello friends, neighbors, and strangers! In the week since July 10th when Jeb's restaurant flooded with 7 feet of water, our family has been overwhelmed again and again by the community's generosity.
As we enter the repair stage, it has become clear that our next barrier will be replacing the walk-in cooler and freezer systems: each system alone costs upwards of $30,000. Every dollar toward replacing these cooling systems will make a huge difference in when we will be able to reopen and start service again!
The story so far...
On day one, we learned that everything in our basement would be a total loss, including our electrical, computer, and security systems, multiple water heaters, frozen and dry food storage, seasonal decorations, tax records and pay stubs, alcohol and beverages, and all of our coolers and freezers. Insurance will not cover any of this loss as, like so many impacted, we have no flood coverage for the contents of the basement.
We have been amazed each day by the generosity of our community, including the support you have shown for our staff, raising over $7,000 in just a short time to make sure they are taken care of while we are closed for restoration.
Our cleanup crew has also been extraordinary. We have had over 40 volunteers each day helping to empty the basement of ruined items, filling 6 dumpsters as of the end of cleanup.
Please consider donating to help us get back on our feet as quickly as possible!
