Restore Kevin from Rock Bottom back to the Peaks

Hello wonderful folks of the free world, my name is Carson and I need to share a story about my adventurous friend Kevin. He's in need of your support as he miraculously has a second shot at life after fighting for his life pinned beneath a boulder estimated to weigh between 3-5 tons.

Kev was out doing what he loves most—exploring the great outdoors of North America—up in California's Inyo Mountains with no clue that he was in the midst of a life-threatening encounter. This behemoth of a boulder shifted, pinning Kev down for nearly 7 hours of excruciating physical anguish.

But thanks to the heroic efforts of a superbly coordinated incident response between Inyo County Sherriff's Office, Inyo County Search and Rescue, and the U.S. Navy, Kev was freed as rescuers implemented a system of ropes, pulleys, leverage, and sheer determination. He was airlifted to a Fresno hospital for immediate medical treatment.

Surviving against such odds is nothing short of a miracle (and clearly lots of training hours and courage on the part of the rescuers), which goes to show that when it's not your time to go, it's not your time to go, but now comes the uphill climb for Kevin.

The road to recovery stretches far ahead, and medical bills loom large as he lacks medical insurance. His injuries—broken leg, severed femoral artery, cracked pelvis, the need for plastic surgery, and intensive physical therapy—demand time (he's already been in the hospital ~2 weeks and has had 4 surgeries with 3-4 more due up), attention, and significant financial support.

Kevin's determined to fight just as hard for his recovery as he did for his life, but he can't do it alone. He won't be able to work for a while, relying on his family's care as he transitions to the healing phase.

He's taking it one day at a time and is beyond blessed to still be living, Kev's grateful for each breath he takes and is pushing through with great resolve! But the path ahead is tough sledding for him, and that's where you come in.
