Restore Instruments for LA Suzuki Teachers and Students

Tax deductible
Suzuki music teachers and students lost homes and instruments in the Los Angeles fires. Please help us fund replacement instruments so they can continue teaching and playing throughout the recovery process.

Suzuki Music Association of California - Los Angeles Branch is home to over 120 Suzuki teachers and thousands of music students. This fundraiser is coordinated by Caroline Salisbury, board member of SMAC and director of the LA Branch.

Several of our teacher colleagues lost homes and instruments in the Eaton and Palisades fires. Their livelihoods depend on being able to teach and play, so replacement instruments are vitally important to their financial recovery. While some may have insurance coverage for replacement instruments, others may be on their own for the full or partial replacement costs. Many Suzuki students in the fire-affected areas evacuated without instruments, or lost pianos in the home fires. Replacement instruments will make it possible for them to continue their music lessons.

This GoFundMe for SMAC-LA will fund rental and replacement instruments for Suzuki teachers and students in the Los Angeles area so they’re able to play and teach again right away. We have partnered with local instrument dealers to provide pianos, string instruments, and band instruments to these musicians.

SMAC-LA will help coordinate replacement, rental, or interim instruments to our teachers and students who have lost homes and instruments. SMAC-LA will also help cover rent costs for studio teaching space for those who have lost home studios due to fire.

Please help these music teachers and their students get back on their feet through funding replacement instruments.
