Restore Niko's Joy: Surgery Fundraiser

Hello friends and family! I’m reaching out for help regarding my 3-year-old German Shepherd, Niko. 2 Cane Corso dogs attacked him back on December 14th, 2024, at 3:10 pm while we were going on our daily walk around our housing community, and he’s been to back-to-back vet appointments since, dealing with puncture wounds and non-stop limping. The vet finally concluded yesterday after some more X-rays that he has a torn ACL in his right knee, which is what has been causing him to barely be able to walk or function since being attacked. Niko is my emotional support animal, so it’s been really tough for both of us. He’s the one who gets me out of the house and helps me be social, so having that all of a sudden taken away from me/us has been difficult. I really want him to be okay and back to normal soon… It’s unfortunate animal control and the police couldn’t do anything about the dogs who attacked us or the owner who couldn’t control them on their leashes, so all the medical expenses have all been on myself to deal with, and it hasn’t been easy. I normally don’t do stuff like this but really would appreciate ANY help with getting my best friend back to being happy and healthy! His surgery is scheduled for Friday, January 31st, 2025, and is definitely the most stressful expense out of all of the bills so far from this attack. It will be $6,399 for the surgery and $2,000 for a 1-night stay afterward to be monitored by nurses and doctors in the ICU, mostly for pain management, 8-12 weeks healing time post-op.
