Restore Noble Roots: Aid Our Community Farm after Milton
Donation protected
When I started Noble Roots over 10 years ago, I wanted to grow food for myself and my family that was free of all the nasty chemicals. Then it turned into this big community and family that we now have. I think us doing the work every day and just pushing to get as much nutrient-dense food out to our community, I never really get a chance to take a step back and see the impact the farm has on everyone's life. I understand that it's much bigger than me; it's a place of nourishment, peace, and safety. After the storm this past week, I see it now as I was able to sit still for a bit.
We prepared the farm as much as we possibly could to get ready for Milton, but nature had its own ideas, and we were not ready for all the damages. Just within a matter of hours, all of our work for the past six months was completely gone. All of our field produce over 6 acres was either underwater or torn to shreds by the wind. All of our high tunnels except for one were completely destroyed. Our seedling houses were completely gone as well. We've been through many storms, fires, and crop losses over the years, but never anything like this.
I'm humbly reaching out to all of our supporters and community to help us recover and rebuild, ensuring we can continue providing nourishing food to our community for the future.
Any help you can provide will go directly to the farm and getting everything rebuilt and replanted as soon as possible.
We are extremely thankful for any help you can provide through donations, sharing our campaign, and getting the word out to the community. I know I can't do it alone, but if we rally as a community, we can.
Getting everything back together will be a massive continued effort for a long time. If anyone would like to get their hands dirty and also learn at the same time, I would love to have you. Message me at (352) [phone redacted].
