Restore Our Community's Pipe Organ
Donation protected
Music is an important voice that knits a community together.
The pipe organ in the Liberty United Methodist Church is over 100 years old and as such is one of the oldest and few remaining pipe organs in Sullivan County. Sadly, it has fallen into disrepair and its mighty voice is silent. We have launched this fund drive to enable its full restoration.
We make this appeal to who all value the restorative energy of music – the soaring grandeur of pipe organ tonality. We appeal to all who know the healing and unifying power of music.
This pipe organ resides in the Liberty Methodist Church; it belongs to the broad community of Liberty. It is an historical and cultural icon of the past, present and hopefully, future. We seek to restore its voice not just for Sunday services but as a resource and an instrument to benefit all who live in , vacation in and remember this beautiful rural town of mountains, forests, streams, lakes and music!
