Restore Preston's Mustang for Suicide Awareness

We have a dream. It is to make our son's dream a reality. Our dear son Preston Brown died by suicide on March 19, 2023. This was devastating to all of us who loved him. We are asking for your help to make his dream come true.

We plan to fulfill Preston's dream to restore his 1983 Foxbody Mustang and turn it into a Suicide Awareness & Prevention-themed car. We plan to take his car to car shows around the area and talk about Preston and his life, depression and suicide, and how we can be the light in the lives of others. We are dedicated to turning our grief into action and bringing Preston Brown’s memory to a higher place.

Suicide is tragic. Life’s journey is full of high and lows and hills and valleys. Many of us have never dealt with mental illness, or depression or suicidal thoughts – we just don’t get it. But Preston’s car can be an opening to talk about life’s challenges and to connect with people. Preston’s car can be a way for us to help remove the stigmas and misconceptions around suicide. We truly believe that Preston’s car can help bring hope and healing not only to our family, but also to others in the community.
