Restore The Barber Shack's Tools and Spirits

Hey Whatcom,

The Barber Shack, a small local business located in the Birchwood and Columbia Neighborhood of Bellingham, was broken into and burglarized Wednesday morning around 4:30 am, a week before Christmas!

The thief stole a couple thousand dollars worth of equipment, tools, and cash that belonged personally to the barbers and shop owner who works there. Now they’ve been burdened with the fact they are missing the tools they need to do their job, and I’m sure they don’t know how long it may take for their items to be recovered or replaced.

My mother is a barber there and brought to my attention that it may be difficult for them to recover quickly. If we could help raise a little money to help The Barber Shack employees get through this stressful time right before the holidays, I’m sure they’d appreciate it more than we know.

I am beyond hurt about this break-in and robbery. Every single one of us here at The Barber Shack tries to find ways to give back to our community, whether it's continuing to offer deeply discounted haircuts every week, staying late to help out the person who walks in just as we're closing, or giving free haircuts to the kids before they go back to school. This is a huge loss to many of our barbers and has made a huge impact in a very bad way to all of us at The Barber Shack.
