Restore the only Mosque in Daytona Beach, FL
Donation protected
Daytona Beach was in the direct path of Hurricane Ian, one of the most destructive storms to hit Florida, and it affected the community tremendously. The Islamic Center of Daytona Beach was built and opened in 1986 and is the only Mosque in Daytona Beach. The Sunday School and the ZamZam Academy Islamic School are also held inside the mosque.
Hurricane Ian ripped through the city and caused heavy flooding, closing our Mosque immediately. The Mosque has over 12 inches of filthy flood water. Sitting water creates mold in the walls. All the carpeting, doors, furniture, and base cabinets have been ruined and need replacement.
ZamZam Academy Islamic School caters to 40 K-5 students. Unfortunately, they cannot attend school until the Mosque is restored and reopened. The Sunday School has 65 students who are also unable to participate. Please, we need your generous donation to help us pay for the restoration work so our Mosque can resume serving our Islamic community with daily prayers, Quran classes, Jummah prayer, and students can return to school.
