Restore the Saratoga NY Homestead property

Donation protected
Help restore the historic Saratoga County Homestead hospital property and create a retreat for veterans and others seeking peace among the beautiful woods of Saratoga County New York. Although I have a grand vision to rebuild the Homestead, it required millions to build originally and while great effort has been put in to get it to the current state, there is a long way to go.  This project will require millions to completely restore and a 501c is being set up.   Donations in cryptocurrencies are welcome too, please contact if interested.

The Homestead Sanatorium accepted its first patients in 1914 and now this historic property has fallen into a massive state of disrepair.  The site has seen multiple efforts to restore previously but stalled with hurdles including federal lien and EPA cleanup requirements.    Now the EPA clean up is complete and $1.7 million in EPA and tax liens are cleared; this beautiful building sitting on almost 30 acres needs the assistance of others to return to a usable state and particularly to become a destination supporting Providence and Saratoga County.    There is much interest in the property from a history perspective and even more based on the locations possible haunted history,   Many sites on the internet list the Homestead as a haunted asylum; although it was never an actual asylum the paranormal stories persist with tales of caretakers and patients roaming the grounds over the years.  Thank you to  Steve Brodt and the Haunted Nights page on FB for sharing history.

The caretakers house (also reported as haunted) still stands next to the Homestead proper awaiting restoration and the Homestead was a grand 31,000 sqft, 100+ bed county hospital.   My plan is to restore the main entrance and original building and expand from there.

I am the owner of the Homestead and a veteran of the US Marine Corps and the US Army/ TXARNG; veterans are my passion leading to my desire to provide a treatment/relaxation destination; however, once restored I envision the Homestead as open to everyone and a functional museum. 100% of funds raised will go to the homestead property and the benefit of veterans. Those who donate and wish to be recognized will have their names included in a display planned for the main lobby.  Special consideration and the ability to name individual rooms/suites is under consideration for high value donors.

Please consider donating if you have a passion for veterans, history, the Homestead property, the city of Providence or Saratoga County.  Whatever you can give is greatly appreciated and will make a difference in the lives of others.

If you have contacts in veterans or charitable organizations that might be interested in donating or in construction / land development companies that can provide services, I would be very excited to talk to them.   Thank you for your consideration.
