Revive a MiG-17 for Charity and STEM Scholarships
Donation protected
Join me, Patrick "Tyson" Mason, in restoring a classic MiG-17 fighter jet to its former glory. Your support won't just bring this Warbird back to life—it will also fund STEM scholarships and charitable missions across the United States.
About Me
I’m an Operational Test Pilot stationed at Barksdale AFB, LA, with over 700 hours in combat. I've flown various aircraft, including the T-6, T-38, B-52, and E-11, and now I want to share the thrill of flight with you and aspiring aviators across the country.
Why a MiG-17?
This MiG-17 is not just any plane—it’s one of only two 2-seaters in the United States. With its unique performance and historical significance, it’s the perfect aircraft to make aviation more accessible and exciting for everyone.
What Will the Funds Be Used For?
Restoration: Making this MiG-17 airworthy once more. Charitable Missions: Aligning with the Commemorative Air Force and BlackHawk Flight Foundation to use the plane for charitable events. Scholarships: Providing flight and STEM scholarships across Louisiana and the U.S. **100% of all proceeds beyond the cost of restoration will be used for scholarships and charitable endeavors.**
Why Your Support Matters
Your donation is not just a contribution—it’s an investment, an investment in dreams, education, and a future where the sky isn't the limit but only the beginning.
Thank You
Your support makes you a part of this mission. Together, we can make a meaningful impact on the lives of aspiring aviators and communities nationwide. Thank you for believing in the power of flight.
