Restore Altadena and Pasadena's Water and Air After LA Fires

Hello loved ones, my name is Brianna "B." Stewart and I am a Los Angeles based interdisciplinary artist. Specifically, I reside in the lovely mountainside town of Pasadena, California. Many are aware that this past week (1/7/2025) has been completely life altering for our Los Angeles community. Further, I can absolutely testify that the adverse affects of Eaton Canyon fires have felt other worldly. Experiencing this in real life has been traumatic to say the least.

While I am living in a mighty blessing that my building did not set ablaze, like many of my neighbors, I have not been able to return home due to the hazardous air quality and contaminated water supply lurking in our pipelines.

I began Watering Eden as a passion project during the height of the pandemic seeking to provide sustenance to my neighbors of South Central at the time. I partnered with local leaders to bring over 300 5lb boxes of organic produce to deserving households.

Today, I recognize that in addition to our global Call to Action of helping Altadena residents restore their historic and honorable community of homes and businesses, we need the proper resources to reach that very end goal sustainably. From the displaced residents who lost their homes to fire to those who are still housed in the midst of chaos and destruction; we all need clean air and water. Immediately. I especially want to see that our elders witness their homes rebuilt while in full health.

Through this fundraising effort I am seeking to raise the funds to provide countertop water filtration systems, shower filters, and air purifiers to distribute directly to my community members who do not have the means for instant recovery. While I am aiming to partner with companies and industry professionals to provide these types of units purified air and water is an absolute urgency! The process of partnership so far has proven to be bureaucratic and tedious. I am hoping you can help me offset that barrier to resolution today until I can get other necessary resources in order.
