Restore Yankee Quilter: Aid Cheryl and Brian

Donation protected

Extreme flooding happening on August 18 has destroyed The Yankee Quilter shop owned and operated by Cheryl and Brian Ogrisek. The shop was closed, but Cheryl and Brian could see the damage happening through the security cameras until the power was finally cut. They don’t know the full extent of the damages yet but can see that inventory is destroyed, including the beautiful fabric, machines, books, and patterns.
To add to the concern, Brian mentioned on his Facebook page that water was coming in the house too! We have established this GoFundMe to help them recover our beloved Quilt Shop. We all know no amount of insurance will cover the extent of the damage, we are asking that their customers pitch in to help if you are able.

Update 4pm - first picture from inside the shop.

Update 8/19 7:30pm
Brian was able to get to the store (please be careful Brian!) to survey the damage. I have attached just a few pictures to show the damage. Water was, by his estimate, at least 4-1/2 feet deep. You can see the waterline on the fabric bolts and the walls. Cheryl and Brian please know we are so heartbroken. Cheryl is forever the optimist said earlier “We get to design a brand new store!” Thank you all for the continued support!
