They say bad luck comes in threes, and for my dad Jeff Johnson, life has delivered its hardest hits all within 7 months.

After losing his beloved wife of 40 years 7 months ago this past February, our dad faced an unimaginable challenge: the apartment they shared for 33 years was sold, and he was given just 60 days to find a new place to live. In Vail, Colorado, where housing costs have soared beyond reach, he has struggled to find anything affordable.

With nowhere to go, he made the difficult decision to put his life savings into buying a modest 5th wheel trailer—a last resort. But before he could even secure the trailer, disaster struck again: his car, his lifeline for mobility, caught fire and was completely destroyed.

Now, he is left with a depleted nest egg, no transportation, and the pressing need to find stability.
