Restoring the Big Murray Cod Sign

Donation protected
For decades the big Murray Cod has greeted people as they enter the city via the Sturt Highway. Formerly the entry to the Murray Cod Hatchery, the business may have closed down many years ago but the Big Murray Cod always remained.
In recent years, it's condition has deteriorated and it has become an eyesore rather than an iconic landmark.
The owner of the property has decided to go to the effort of having the sign restored to its former glory, but this will come at a cost.
An amazing local airbrush artist Dan Seddon has agreed to paint the new sign and local contractors will be conducting the restoration of the steel framework.
Ozfish Unlimited are assisting in the fundraising efforts to help cover the costs of restoring the big Murray Cod. The heart of Wagga Wagga is the Murrumbidgee River, and the iconic Murray Cod thrives in this waterway.

If you would love to see the big Murray Cod back on its perch at the entry of our city, nows your chance to contribute to the project.

Any donation of over $500 will have their name or business name added to a plaque that will be erected along side the updated sign. A framed professional photo of the new sign will also be given to you as a thank you for your contribution. Please be sure to leave your name and contact details along with your donation so we can arrange your acknowledgment.
