Restoring the heart of our family

Hi, my name is Jewel Casey. Brighton, Ontario, has been my family’s home for the last 10 years—a place where we built cherished memories and created a life filled with love and laughter. This morning, I woke up to devastating news: my family’s home, where they’ve lived for the last ten years, was completely destroyed in a fire.

This GoFundMe is for my family, who lived on the bottom floor of the house. While the home was rented, it was filled with everything they had worked so hard to build. Now, they’ve lost everything—clothing, keepsakes, and the space they called home.

My parents are the kindest, most selfless people I know. They’ve always been the first to help others, whether by offering a warm meal, a place to stay, or a shoulder to lean on. Now, they need our help.

I’m asking for your support in raising $40,000 to help them begin the long and difficult process of rebuilding their lives. The funds will go directly toward:

- Immediate essentials like clothing, toiletries, and food.

- Temporary housing to provide stability and security as they navigate this loss.

- Rebuilding their lives after losing everything they’ve worked for over the past decade.

Clothing Needs: If you’re able to donate clothing instead, these are their sizes:

- Men’s: Medium to Large shirts/sweaters/coats, 32/32 pants, and size 9 shoes.

- Women’s: Small to Extra Small shirts/sweaters/coats, 0/00 pants (Small/XS), and size 7 shoes.
