Resurrect the Dome

Donation protected
On December 17th, 2020, the Greater Binghamton area experienced the most significant snowfall the area has ever had. As a result, the Greater Binghamton Sports Complex (The Dome) collapsed under the pressure of the overwhelming snowfall.

The GBSC is a community gathering place for families and sports enthusiasts. Its doors have been open to athletes from all across the Northeast since 2005. As the largest freestanding dome in the nation, it is and has always been quite the spectacle to see. Now, sadly, the Dome is collapsed and they are trying their best in the wake of this unforeseen event to plan out their next moves.

Gladly the facility is covered by property and casualty insurance, however, the insurance companies have mandated the deductible to be $120,000. This is an incredibly high amount for a small business to sustain, especially one that was hit very hard by COVID in 2020.

Given all of this, and knowing the Kashou family very well and all that they do for the community, I wanted to start this Gofundme to help support them in this extremely difficult time.  Please join me in supporting them and helping to resurrect the Dome! The sooner we accomplish the goal the sooner we can all gather and play together as teams and as a community - please help chip in, any amount is much appreciated!
