Help Post 3427 Get Back To Their Community Work!

Donation protected
My name is Raymond Ramos and I am the Commander of the VFW Post 3427 (Veterans of Foreign Wars) since 2015. After dedicating my life to serving this country for 22 years in the army and protecting civilians for 20 years in the New York City Police Department, I decided to continue my efforts to help others by joining the Post 3427 and eventually becoming the Commander.

After becoming the Commander, we continued our mission to help and give back to our community and to our veterans. Part of our work includes donating and participating in the Breast Cancer Walk, hosting fundraisers for local churches, creating mentoring programs for our veterans, community park resurrections and hosting community holiday parties for the youth.

Once we started organizing more activities and fundraisers, in the summer of 2015 we were unfortunately issued a multitude of fines. As a result due to old electrical and plumbing work that was improperly done. These fines subsequently led to legal fees. Additionally, during the winter of 2018, the pipes in our building burst. We were able to temporarily remedy the problem, but it was conveyed to us that our entire building would require a complete replacement of pipes prior to the upcoming winter of 2019. Due to our fines and legal fees, we were unable to afford to have this work completed and to continue paying bills to keep our building running.

In order for us to continue our work of helping our community and veterans we need to raise approximately $15,000. The funds donated to our project will go towards replacing our plumbing system and paying off related invoices. The veterans of the post and myself greatly appreciate any help and support that is provided. We are looking forward to continuing our mission to provide for our community and to help our veterans who served this country.
