Ret. Brentwood Fire Cpt. in NEED!

Our local Contra Costa County retired fire captain, John Foster served our community and retired after thirty years of service. John and his wife moved from Brentwood to Paradise a few months ago to enjoy their retirement and enjoy a slower pace life.  The devestating ‘Camp Fire’ that is ripping through Northern California has destroyed John’s home. They’ve lost everything.. Their home, their belongings,  clothes, retirement memorbilia and much more.  Barely making it out alive but lost everything material.  Both Patty and John loaded their car and truck of people, to help get them to safety rather than more of their own belongings. John knew how to calm and help direct many neighbors to safety! Please please help them with any amount of donation. Let’s give back to a family that gave so many of their years to our community.  Please pray for their family during this nightmare as they are in shock and disbelief as are many. I want to help John and his wife. John has been dear to my family for years, as he  was the fireman on call who helped my son, 20 years ago, during a severe asthma attack. When we visitied the fire house when my 2 year old (then) was relaesed from the hospital, to thank the fireman on the call and  John, always humble,  made my son feel like HE was the hero. I was forever thankful to John and stayed in touch over the years, visiting with my son at the fire house. I want to be able to help repay the support he gave my family in our time of need. Sadly, the Fosters had no insurance on their home in Paradise yet and any money raised will go to house them and try to rebuild a life that has been shattered.
