Ret Staff Sergeant Miller

Donation protected
My name is Perry Chapman and I am a professional dog trainer with 6 years of experience, 3 of those years were spent training service dogs for veterans. Although I don’t train service dogs at the moment, I still try and help out where I can.

I came across Ret Staff Sergeant Miller when him and his wife, Viola, reached out to us needing a service dog. He was involved in a mid-air helicopter collision in June 1996, on Fort Campbell, in which he was severely injured and paralyzed on his right side.

Because Staff Sergeant Miller was injured pre 9/11, there aren’t VA funds set aside to help with caregivers and the VA doesn’t give funds for service dogs.

We are trying to raise money for Staff Sergeant Miller to receive Rooster and have him trained for specific tasks to help the Millers in day to day living. Such as aspiration pneumonia detection, retrieval, seizure alert and compression therapy.

We appreciate everyone’s support in working towards this goal. We understand money is tight, but sharing his story will help immensely. Thank you.
