Tax deductible
The Officers of the Washington Township Police Department will once again put down their razors for the months of November and December for a worthy cause. The American Cancer Society’s estimates for pancreatic cancer in the United States for 2021 are:

About 60,430 people (31,950 men and 28,480 women) will be diagnosed with pancreatic cancer.
About 48,220 people (25,270 men and 22,950 women) will die of pancreatic cancer.

Lieutenant Michael Monaco of the Newton Police Department retired after 31 years in law enforcement and is one of the 60,430 people who were diagnosed with pancreatic cancer. Chief Almer and the members of Washington Township Police Department would like to invite all who wish to join us in becoming part of the Support Squad in this fight. Each Washington Township Officer who takes part in growing their facial hair will be donating $100 for the two months of this initiative. Grow a beard, donate, share the link, or spread the general awareness information on pancreatic cancer. Lt. Monaco wished for all donations to go to the Purple Pansies Organization.
