Our Friend,
Kathy Hamlin, a retired nurse of 35 years from NRH has experienced several personal tragedies lately and she really needs some financial assistance to help her get through this crisis. During the ice storm in early November, a
large tree fell on her roof. A few weeks later
her daughter, Mary,
unexpectedly passed away in her sleep. Kathy doesn't have the financial resources to remove the tree from the roof, or repair it. She is emotionally and financially overwhelmed . I have investigated other avenues for assistance for Kathy but have met only dead ends. This seems to be the only option at this time. Kathy served our community for 35 years and has spent her retirement years caring for her family. She could really use some help to either remove the tree, or possibly even relocate if necessary. Estimates for tree removal have been around
$4000 dollars, since a crane would be required to do it safely. Roof repair/replacement is also needed. If enough money is raised she could get the tree removed and the roof repaired. Otherwise she would likely use the money to find another place for her and her brother to live. Let's help her get through this crisis. Thank you in advance for your generosity.
