Retired Oakland Firefighter Tony Soares

Retired Oakland Fire Engineer Tony Soares has unfortunately been recently diagnosed with a very rare type of cancer known as EHE (Epithelioid Hemangioendothelioma). He is beginning to undergo treatment for this rare sarcoma, and was initially denied a referral to a specialist by his health insurance provider. Luckily, he was able to switch health care providers, and has identified a team of professionals at Stanford Medical Center that specialize in treatment for this type of cancer. All of your donations will go directly to Tony to help offset the costs (out of pocket expenses, copays, etc) not covered by his health insurance.

Tony has always been there for all of us throughout the years to lend a helping hand, and hopefully we can be there for him in his time of need.
