Recovering from Six Major Surgeries
Donation protected
Hello! Our names are Matthew and Cortney Stewart. Matthew's father has been in and out of the hospital over six times this year with 5 reconstructive foot surgeries and one neck surgery. Mark was recently hospitalized for almost 3 weeks due to getting a staph infection in his ankle. They had to remove all metal in his reconstructed ankle, sew his ankle back up, go in for another surgery to place wires and a third surgery to place permanent metal back in his ankle to where he cannot bend his ankle for the rest of his life. Now that he has been released, the antibiotics needed to be administered at home were over $2k. This was not affordable so the only other option is to load up and have the medications administered through a picline at the hospital daily. Each visit for the next 4 weeks is $30-$45 a day.
Unfortunately the medical bills, copays, recently having to downsize from a 3 bedroom house to a 2 bedroom apartment while he was in the hospital along with only receiving SSI income has been overwhelming and the only thing we can think of is to ask for help.
If anyone can donate what they can, we truly appreciate any help for Paw and Maw.
Sincerely,
Matthew and Cortney
