Help Retired Pittsburgh SWAT officer recover from wildfire

It is with heavy hearts that we reach out to you today on behalf of Jeff Garris and his family. Jeff, a retired City of Pittsburgh Police SWAT officer, has dedicated over three decades of his life to serving and protecting his community. His service as a beat cop, River Rescue pilot, and SWAT operator demonstrated his unyielding commitment and courage.

Now, he and his family are facing an unimaginable loss due to the recent devastating Pacific Palisades wildfire, and they need your help.

Jeff and his family moved to Pacific Palisades this past fall to be closer to their son Markus, a decision filled with hope for a new chapter in their lives. Unfortunately, in an unexpected turn of events, they lost everything in the fire that swept through their neighborhood. With no renter's insurance in place, there are no insurance proceeds to help them recover.

For those of us who know Jeff, we understand what a selfless individual he is. His bravery and dedication to protecting others in some of the most dangerous situations imaginable were evident throughout his career. He is the type of person who always goes above and beyond, often putting the safety and well-being of others ahead of his own. Now, in his time of need, we have an opportunity to give back.
